Murano Faceted, Textured Blue Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. A generic design made by Mandruzzato and Campanella. Also found with Bucella Cristalli labels. Bucella was a retailer who also had a grinding and polishing business of "rough" pieces supplied by other factories. In a stunning combination of deep blue glass cased in a band of paler blue glass, which is further encased in a part angular, part bark textured block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 6 inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a few nicks to the rim and one side edge, shown in final picture.
