Description

A wonderful Victorian pressed glass basket weave spill vase, made in black milk glass (also known as vitro-porcelain glass. Made by British company Sowerby in the 1880's, and bears their trademark of a peacock on the inside base, as well as a design lozenge. This design, pattern number 1154½ is shown on page 1 of Sowerby's Illustrated Pattern Book No IX, issued in June 1882.

Size

Measures approx 3.25 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks other than a couple of nicks to the rim and base, shown in final pictures.
