Mandruzzato Murano Faceted Black & Silver Glass Block Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass bowl/ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by the Mandruzzato factory, labelled. In a stunning combination of black glass (actually very dark purple when held up to the light), filled with silver leaf inclusions, and encased in an angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
