Murano 1950's Silver Leaf & Coloured Murrine Canes Black Glass Bowl

Description

Here is an exquisite 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass bowl/ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with silver leaf, and multicoloured murrine canes. Surrounded with an outer casing of black glass.

Size

Measures approx 2 inches tall by 4.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, just a couple of surface scratches to the outside black layer. Also has a dimpled area to the base, which is simply the remains of a broken pontil mark that hasn't been completely ground out during manufacture (normal and not damage). All shown in final pictures.
